I’ve spent some time in the skincare industry. Discovering the right product for the right skin type can be a challenge. From cleansers to moisturizers. One product in particular has alluded me. Eye makeup remover! I am not only a contact wearer but a waterproof mascara fan as well. I have been on the hunt for the best eye makeup remover for years! I will admit, I’m cheap! I’ve avoided spending a lot of money but there comes a time when you must open your perimeters.
When you add in the fact that I am over the age of 40 and the skin surround the eye is the thinnest and easy to damage…this wonder product becomes more and more valuable. Not all removers are made the same. Over zealous rubbing and pulling can cause more wrinkles that desired. After multiple products and dissatisfaction I found this! Make Up For Ever, Sens’Eyes Cleanser. It is the absolute best eye makeup remover I’ve ever used. It slips away even layers of waterproof mascara with ease!
You can find it at Sephora for $24. Yes, a bit pricey for me, but it lasts a long time and my eyes are worth the tender outcome. This is a favorite product of mine! Try it!
Do you have a favorite skin care product?

My daughter Courtney has been contemplating changing her hair color for quite some time. For a few years now she has desired to go red! I “enhanced” my hair color years and years ago. I went from blonde (bleached, permed, 80′s hair blonde!) to red in one emotionally twisted day! I love it and have no desire to go back! And NO…I will not post a picture!
Tina, my sister is the proprietor of Divinity Design Studio in MI and a master of hair color! She graciously agreed to take on this challenge! My sisters were in VA this past weekend visiting. So after a trip to the Cville Market and getting drenched from a sudden downpour…we hit the beauty supply store for the chemical concoction to perform the transformation.
The result? A vibrant depth of red now matches my girls personality. Fiery, passionate, short tempered, opinionated…. And yes, for those of you who know me or have met me, I’m talking about myself as much as my daughter! According to some, “Red hair was thought to be a mark of a beastly sexual desire and moral degeneration.” from Redheads: Myths, Legends, and Famous Red Hair 95 Hmmm…
Now, most of the personality traits and folklore applies to “true” redheads. I think by choice or chance…reds are reds!! Is there a redhead in your life? Do you agree?

The benefit of a great lip pencil cannot be overstated! I started using them back while working at Estee Lauder. Now…I can’t seem to stop! I love the definition and color! IF it’s the right one! I use it to line but also to fill in my lips and put a simple lip gloss over the top.
Here’s my current favorite. Prestige Waterproof in Bamboo! I have to order it. No one around carries this color any longer. It’s neutral and goes with any of the lipstick colors I use. Do you have a favorite?
