YES, this is my tip for today! I raised my daughters that every voice counts. Even more powerful is the sacrifice woman made for years…fighting to even have the right to make their thoughts know! It is our responsibility as citizens and woman to participate in the process of democracy.
When my oldest Lindsay was about 7 years old a commercial for M&M appearing during one of her television shows. It was the one with Halle Berry talking to (I think) the red M&M. She was very sensual, erotic and suggestive. I sat there thinking “Who is M&M targeting in this commercial??!!” During the Magic School Bus cartoon show?? This is a children’s show for God sake! Of course I made my thoughts known verbally and my daughter looked at me and asked “Mom, what could I do about it?” I told her she could write a letter to the Mars Corporation. Let them know how you feel about the portrayal of woman in this commercial and ask why it is running during your television show?
Both of my daughters are now of age to vote…and vote they do! Whether you agree with our governmental process, even if you believe our system is in desperate need of a hard look…it is your RESPONSIBILITY to vote! As woman, our predecessors found too long and hard for our right. Time to make you voice heard! (And if you don’t…don’t bitch about our state direction!) Your thoughts?

When it comes to eating I would categorize myself as more of a “snack-er”. Whether eating little meals throughout the day is the way to weight loss or just an obsessive way to intake nutrition, it’s my preference. Attending to our marketing agency most often requires long stints at our desk. Renee and I share a large office with our desks facing each other, touching. The brilliance of creative brainstorming, negotiations of media placement and carving out business plans all happen in this space.
We have become….well, almost obsessed with wasabi peas! My gentleman friend has always been a fan and I have enjoyed them in moderation over the past several years. The recent months of more work than hours in a day to execute, we have taken to snaking on these little gems! Not for the faint of tongue, they can pack a hot jolt! They are crunchy, tangy and satisfying! We don’t have a particular favorite brand, Aurora hold the current desk equity. If you need a pick-me up while chained at your desk? This would be my tip! My TTT, that is. Have you tried them?

Of course I take pride in this tip…my daughter is the owner of this custom jewelry designer line! Lindsay graduated from Grand Valley State University last December with a Bachelor of Fine Arts, moved to Charlottesville and is now renting a portion of a studio to create her vision! Working full time at another job…she makes time in the studio, sketches creative ideas and is dedicated to her craft. Angel Jewelry currently are creations of sterling silver sometimes utilizing semi-precious stones, glass and shells. She is now creating a line of earrings to accent the design of her pendants.
If you are looking for something different, earthy and one of a kind…you’ll find a piece to love in Angel Jewelry! Lindsay will even take a stone/shell you have and create a design just for you! Take a look at her current pieces at her Etsy page and on her Facebook page!
